On some of those foggy nights out, when the fog somehow clears up a bit, you may realize that that crowd you’ve been keeping isn’t exactly what you thought it was.

Don’t worry, it happens to the best of us. More often to the worst, though.

For Illustration Friday’s theme "Foggy" and slightly inspired by this. (And apparently someone beat me to it slightly with his "vampire zombie" comment. Vampire zombie?).

Mutiny on the pirate ship for U16’s Pirates activity. Did the rule of the ship change or not - I do not know.

This blog needs an update. Here’s one. It’s a caricature of yet another Stylus member, Emma.

I bought some more markers, colored ones this time around. They sure are lots of fun and handy to use.

Here’s a couple of fairly quick caricatures done with them. The first one is of the "Finnish Hasselhoff", Frederik, who’s already a sort of a caricature the way he really is. The original reference was a thumbnail sized photo in a newspaper, but the photo displayed here is a better version borrowed from his website. The man is like 63 (or something) and has a sweatband and a pierced eyebrow (edit: must not forget the mullet!) . Macho, so macho. Phew!

And the second one is of course the President of Finland, Tarja Halonen. Took less than an hour on this one. Frederik took maybe two.

Couple of images for U16’s CTT activity again. The first is based on Shakes’ sketch and the second one is my character for the next in line.

Just a couple of character designs for U16’s Monster Mash activity. Go play with the Mashmaster and create a few surreal combinations.

I’ve had some syndication feed trouble since I updated to Wordpress 2.5.1. Sorry about that, I hope it works now.

My quick take on Scott’s character, with a girlfriend. Check the link, there are others’ versions too.

I got me some new markers and a decent brush pen. This sketch was inked and shaded (in grayscale) with them and then colored in Photoshop.

This illustration was done for marketing materials for a recently opened shopping mall. The assignment was basically to visually design and show the different members of the consumer family and their pet moose who are regulars at the mall. Each character’s design had to elicit a specific personality and interests.

Nothing beats roasted squirrel and moonshine. No sir. These are for U16’s CTT activity. The first one is based on Adam Duncan’s sketch. And the second is just a quick color sketch for the next in line. It depicts a girl with a big butt.

Well, here’s another one of these girlie speedpaints - fairly loose one this time around. I liked the lighting and all the reflected light in the reference image.
