Silk Carpet
- Sarda's last moment's at the garden
From a series of fantasy illustrations for a fairy tale set in ancient Persia. As an old lady, Sarda finally get's to see the garden. It's already fall so all the plant's are dead and animals have relocated, but Sarda still sees the garden as it's been described to her. The dead monkey is a the result of the civil war that I added as an element to the illustrations and that raged outside while Sarda was weaving her carpet.
Apparently angels wear see-through in Sarda's imagination. No wonder she's looking up the angel's skirt.
